Activities under this initiative aim to strengthen:

• initially the capacity of the institution so that it can,

• secondly, facilitate the economic development of the continent.

For a strong institution, there is a need for:

• Improving internal organization

• Strengthening financial management and make it more transparent

• Raising the level of service delivered

• Better following procedures

• Modernizing tools, systems and solutions

• Improving the visibility of the AU

 

Concerning economic development, the results of the project will be measured in terms of:

• Increased number of innovative partnerships

• Improved monitoring of the implementation of the Treaties

• Ongoing efforts in knowledge management and sharing
